FAQ
What can I expect when booking a shoot?
Get in touch and share the occasion, date, and location. I'll respond within 24 hours with my availability and an indicative quote, provided the brief is clear. As soon as it's approved, the date is yours. A few days or weeks (if preferred) before the shoot, we'll be in contact about the schedule, must-have shots, and practical details. On the day itself, I'll arrive a bit early to prepare. Within one to two weeks (expedited delivery is available upon request), I'll deliver a carefully edited selection through a private online gallery, where photos can be viewed and downloaded for one month. You're welcome to share feedback on specific images for minor adjustments, since your satisfaction with the final result is what matters most.
Where do you work?
While based in Bussum (near Amsterdam), I'm available for work anywhere in the Netherlands. Keep in mind that an appropriate travel fee is applicable.
How many photos will be delivered?
In advance, I'll communicate a minimum number of edited photos based on the assignment. My aim is to capture all the different happenings and the people involved, so the final gallery correctly represents the day. I will therefore make sure you receive as many photos as necessary for this purpose.
There are lasers at my event. Is that a problem?
When the lasers are tuned on, I'll pause shooting until they are turned off again. This is because a laser can severely damage my camera sensor to the point that I'd have to buy a new one.
Can you also provide video footage?
My specialisation is photography, but I frequently work together with certain skilled videographers. So if you're looking for both photo and video in one quote, that can be arranged!
How will you protect the photos?
I always shoot simultaneously on two high-quality SD cards. This way, in the rare event that one of them is corrupted, the other one still contains all photos. For critical shoots, I also carry a backup camera. After the shoot, I immediately upload the images to my MacBook and back them up in an encrypted cloud environment.
What gear do you use?
With a full-frame camera and f/2.8 lenses ranging from 16-200mm, I capture everything from ultra-wide to close-up, no matter the lighting conditions. For portraits, I use an 85mm f/1.4 lens to achieve dreamy, blurry backgrounds.
